A grip on housing policy: clear goals in the annual accounts
The executive will implement the recommendations of the Duisenberg rapporteurs, so the council can better steer towards a future-proof housing stock.
✓ Adopted unanimously
Why this motion
Using the Duisenberg method, councillors analysed the 2024 annual accounts on the theme of a future-proof housing stock. Conclusion: the available information does not allow a proper assessment of whether the policy is effective and efficient.
Earlier Duisenberg reviews also showed that the link between goals and indicators in the annual documents is too unclear for the council to steer on.
What the council asks
The city council asks the mayor and aldermen to:
- 1Work out the recommendations from the Duisenberg report on the 2024 annual accounts.
- 2Report progress to the council within six months.
- 3Sharpen the planning and control cycle: a clear link between goals and indicators, references to relevant reports and clear terminology.
