Initiative proposal on tackling waste reports
In Zuidoost, Noord and Nieuw-West, overflowing bins and reports are left unresolved for too long. Together with Gijs Noordzij (PvdA), Carla wrote her own initiative proposal to make the reporting system fit how residents actually live.

Commitment
In response to Carla, Alderman Van Buren committed to including clarity on bulky-waste locations in the action plan.
Committee
On the bulky waste plan, Carla raised the needs of people who are ill, parents of young children and people on low incomes.
Initiative proposal
Carla defended the proposal in committee: the gap between neighbourhoods is not because people don’t want to report, but because the system doesn’t fit them.
Council
In the council she linked the proposal to high sickness absence at the waste service: “it is a system.”
